"The federal government now requires a form designated as the “Income Withholding Order” – not to be confused with Georgia’s Income Deduction Order – that is to be furnished to an employer when income deduction is included in a child support order.  Here in Georgia, we are using this federal form as a notice document and not a court order.  We would like to offer training to clarify how to work with this form and the Georgia Income Deduction Order so that your orders comply with both Georgia and federal law and income withholding will both begin quickly and avoid being kicked back from the system because of incorrect documentation.

We would love to bring a training seminar to your area for the convenience of your attorneys.  We are also happy to provide a training seminar on the child support guidelines and calculator/worksheets for any who need it.  We could do the guidelines/calculator training in the morning, then the income withholding training after lunch so that it is done all in the same day.  Please contact Elaine Johnson at 404-463-6383 or Elaine.johnson@gaaoc.us to schedule training in your area.

Please visit the Child Support Commission website www.georgiacourts.gov/csc to download the calculators and obtain resources on the guidelines.  Also, visit the Income Deduction website www.georgiacourts.gov/csc/iwo for information on Georgia’s Income Deduction process.

I am looking forward to meeting you in person.
